| Leak Detection and Repair (LDAR) Program Western Environmental has been implementing Leak Detection and Repair Programs (LDAR) for the oil and gas industry since 1996. In 2006 WEST developed an electronic program at the request of the ethanol industry that utilizes barcoded tags with a plant specific PDA to electronically inventory components subject to a facility’s LDAR program. The PDA is interfaced to a spreadsheet which can be used to archive and calculate a facility’s LDAR functionality. The electronic program has significantly reduced the amount of loose paper and greatly increased the organization of LDAR programs for various facilities throughout the country. |
